Such a sweet little deer.
OOOh this beautiful young deer was very close to the house yesterday afternoon. Very young and not very frightened. Almost came onto the porch. The snow is so heavy I am sure it is difficult to find food now for all our deer. We have more then 40. They love to nibble on our shrubs. We have some of the shrubs covered but when they are very hungry they seem to be able to get under the cover and still find food. How they survive is beyond me. Really a mystery. Such a picture to view them. We also have wild turkey and geese and ground hogs and wild rabbits.

Guess I'm showing my age again...how my eye sight isn't the best anymore! LOL, we have tons of deer here, always in our front pasture eating the apples.
What we DON'T have are deer walking on SNOW which makes it appear to have short legs...hence that's why I thought it was a cougar! LOL Okay, I just had to explain... LOL
Good evening!

The deer is beautiful in the snow, very magical. We don't have snow here in the Bay Area, but deer we do have! We also have turkeys, raccoons, coyotes, and even the occasional mountain lion!
Have a wonderful New Year and I hope that our paths cross often.
