THE JOY OF WORKING WITH VINTAGE FABRICS* MY NEW BATH
I have been planning this bath for a very long time. Saving up fabrics and getting everything together to complete this bath. I started by removing the old wall paper. Casey...was flipping out over that...but I went ahead in spite of his concerns. I prepared the walls ....with sanding and a primer and then painted all the walls a glorious ivory organdy. The shower curtain is formed from a 1930's southernbelle coverlet and I found the valance in an antique shop on Valentine's Day...it was a vintage bedspread. The commode fabric is from some vintage drapes...the vines look brown but they are actually green and the storage pouch on the back of the door was formed from a vintage tablecloth fabric. I started painting yesterday and I started sewing today at 4:30 AM. It has been a labor of love. The pretty little girl with the pink roses in her hair came from a handmade valentine from 1915 and the three little girls in the ornate gold frame I found at a flea market on Valentine's day. OOOh this has been SEW MUCH FUN GIRLS. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I do my new bath. Just need to hang the antique mirror and put up the new light fixutre and it will be finished. I will show you those things when they are accomplished. Thank you for looking at my creations.

Oh my gosh, Pat. This bathroom is truly TO DIE FOR! Amazing. I love the shower curtain you made...plus the incredible valance and then the covers and the organizer! I think EVERY bathroom needs these. LOVELY.
OH and the framed girls, too....can't forget them. GORGEOUS.
Great makeover Pat. So much work. Looks fabulous.
